Child­ren

Child­ren: Time­ly detec­tion and cor­rec­tion of orth­odon­tic dys­func­tions and mal­de­ve­lo­p­ments are fun­da­men­tal to trea­ting child­ren. From the age of six, we can dis­cuss with you whe­ther inter­ven­ti­on is neces­sa­ry. We then uti­li­ze remo­va­ble braces to levera­ge the natu­ral growth of the jaw, gent­ly gui­ding the tee­th into their cor­rect ali­gnment. Tooth cor­rec­tion is never as straight­for­ward as it is during child­hood.

 

Adults

For adult pati­ents, aes­the­tic con­side­ra­ti­ons play a signi­fi­cant role during tre­at­ment. Visu­al impairm­ents cau­sed by tra­di­tio­nal braces or the drea­ded extra­c­tion of healt­hy tee­th are long sin­ce a thing of the past. In addi­ti­on to cor­rec­tion using inter­nal, lin­gu­al braces, we pri­ma­ri­ly cor­rect the tee­th of adult pati­ents with remo­va­ble, trans­pa­rent Miniplast/plastic ali­gners (Invi­sa­lign), which are chan­ged every seven to four­teen days.

Near­ly Invi­si­ble Tooth Cor­rec­tion with Pla­s­tic “Ali­gners”

Com­for­ta­ble, trans­pa­rent, remo­va­ble: Invi­sa­lign® is an inno­va­ti­ve pro­duct from Ali­gn Tech­no­lo­gy BV, Ams­ter­dam. Various types of tooth mis­a­lignments can be trea­ted with the­se so-cal­led ali­gners made of trans­pa­rent pla­s­tic. The pla­s­tic ali­gner is remo­va­ble, thus allo­wing for opti­mal oral hygie­ne. You can eat and drink wit­hout rest­ric­tions.

An ali­gner is not a sin­gle item: it is a set of trans­pa­rent pla­s­tic splints, wit­hout metal or wires. First, the tre­at­ment goal is defi­ned in a 3D repre­sen­ta­ti­on on the com­pu­ter and divi­ded into indi­vi­du­al tre­at­ment pha­ses. For each of the­se pha­ses, an indi­vi­du­al ali­gner tray is then pro­du­ced, which is worn for appro­xi­m­ate­ly two weeks.

During this time, your tee­th are con­ti­nuous­ly moved with gent­le pres­su­re in the pre-cal­cu­la­ted direc­tion. After­wards, you switch to the next ali­gner from the set. We would be hap­py to advi­se you on whe­ther Invi­sa­lign® is the right choice for you.
